My Goal in Life
I love helping people because I like seeing the transformation they have to go through to become better. I like that the more I help others the more I learn about myself and how I can improve my life. It is said that the best way to learn something is to teach it to someone else. I agree with this statement as I find myself learning more every time I help someone else. Helping someone else makes life more fulfilling and I think that we can't be successful or happy unless we help other people.
One of the things I have come to realize is that success is different for everyone, and that success can have many meanings. Throughout this article I will be speaking of the success that I want and the meaning I give to success. You are more than welcome to have your own definition of success and disagree with my definition. At the end of the day you will have to decide what your definition is in order to be happy, successful, and fulfilled.
To me being successful is not about money, but about doing God's will. For the longest time I searched for material things and it gave me little satisfaction. At some point my life began to change and I began to get closer to God. The more I learned about God the more happy I became. I don’t have everything I want, but what I have is enough to make me happy. I have found happiness with God and the things that he gives me. If it is his will and he blesses me with more things, then I will be happy too. But if not, I will remain happy either way.
Not wanting material things does not mean that I don’t have room for growth or motivation. In all honestly I think my motivation and room for growth increased because I want less things. My goal is to do God’s will and to live my life according to his commandments. I want to love God with all my mind, all my heart, and all my body. I also want to love my neighbors like I would like to be loved. With this in mind my life has a lot of room for improvement and motivation.
Once I started depending on God I started to tap into infiniteness. I am able to work for longer, my patience has increased, and my discipline has risen. I make less excuses when it comes to getting things done. Not only that, but I find myself becoming more fearless of the things of this world. I find myself more fulfilled and confident. There is a verse in the Bible that says that if God is for you, who can be against you? When I repeat this verse in my mind or out loud It recharges me and gives me more energy to keep doing what I am doing.
God has blessed me with a beautiful family. My wife and my newborn baby girl are everything to me. I want to be better everyday so that I can guide them to heaven. I want to be a better human being so that I can be a good role model for my daughter and wife. With that in mind, I am constantly taking the initiative to learn how to create a better life. How can I help others and how can I become a better person?
Life is amazing and to live a good life is a gift from God.
