Everyone has a different opinion of what is to be successful.
What you might call success another person might call a prison. Everyone is different and that’s the beauty of this world. Everyone has their own purpose for living and no one can really tell you what is to be successful because it all depends on an individual.
For some people success might mean having a lot of money. To others success is having a lot of friends. Still others might say it is having a balanced life. Success may change depending on where you are at in life. You can choose to be successful every day and if you don’t feel like you are then you have the power to change it.
To me success is not about having a lot of money. To me success is about helping others and living how God wants me to live. My priorities in life may be different than yours and that is perfectly ok. Like I said before - everyone is different and you must learn to find your kind of success.
I have been fortunate to have accomplished many things and I consider myself to be successful. When I was a kid I always wanted to buy a house and people always seemed to doubt me. Fortunately God had that planned for me and not only was I able to buy one house, but two! Accomplishing that has made me open my mind up to the possibility of owning other houses in the future. I will work hard to make that a reality and pray that God has that plan for me.
I was fortunate enough to meet great people and I have had many jobs where I have learned many amazing skills - from leadership to programmings, from selling to audio editing. I have learned many skills that have helped me in my professional journey. I have become a student of life and do my best to learn from people, books, and experience.
The crazy part is that I am only 28, which gets me excited. I can’t wait to keep learning, keep growing, and keep helping others. I have learned so much yet so little in the grand scheme of life. I am successful and I will keep choosing to be successful. One of the most powerful quotes in my life says that if God is with me, who can be against me?
If you don’t feel like you are successful I have good news for you! You can choose to be, starting today. It is not easy, it requires a lot of work….or not. It all depends on your definition of success. But one thing is for sure - only you can decide that. Don’t let anyone else tell you different unless you are into that. You can learn from people, books, and experience just like I do but don’t let them choose for you. Ultimately you decide what success is to you!
